Mark Murtha, our Minerals Specialist in the Acquisitions department, brings several years of industry expertise to Phoenix Capital Group. Holding a Bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, Mark’s professional journey includes successful management in commercial construction projects. Known for his strong communication skills to ensure effective interaction and meet individuals’ needs, coupled with his profound understanding of mineral value and strategies to enhance the situation for mineral owners, Mark has successfully negotiated purchases and leases for thousands of mineral acres.
Hailing from Kensington, Maryland, Mark comes from a close-knit family with his father serving as the Police Chief of the Wheat Ridge Police Department in Colorado. Outside of work, he finds joy in riding motorcycles, watching sports, skiing, and traveling. His favorite part of the job is working with mineral owners, guiding them towards situations that positively impact their finances. An interesting fact about him is his deep fascination with vintage cars. As a Minerals Specialist, Mark aspires to contribute significantly by leasing enough acreage to independently support Phoenix Capital Group’s drilling activities in the Bakken, aligning his professional goals with the company’s success.
